Spinal Manipulation Therapy - Scoliosis - Curvatures of the Spine
Scoliosis, a curvature in the spine, can be screened by measuring degree of the curve as seen on x-ray using the Cobb Method. The Cobb Method is the standard use of measurement by the Scoliosis Research Society and is universally accepted.
Dr Foti is measuring Cobbs angle - an angle used to measure curvature of the spine. The chiropractors role in scolosis is not to reverse the curvature, but to keep the spine moving and prevent further distortion into the curve.
